What is SEER?

SEER Ratings or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratings identify the amount of energy used to run the heating/cooling unit; the higher the SEER rating number, the more efficient the unit.

What is AHRI Certification?

The Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is a globally recognized organization that measures and tests equipment efficiencies. HVAC units that are AHRI Certified have been through rigorous, unbiased testing to verify their energy efficiency. Choosing HVAC systems that carry the AHRI Certification assures that your equipment will perform accurately and consistently and comply with regulations.

Identify Your System's SEER Ratings and AHRI Certificates

First Company

  1. Visit First Company's Certified Ratings website
  2. Enter the model number in the First Co. Indoor Unit Model Number field and Search
  3. Select the Certified Reference Number based on outdoor and/or indoor system
  4. Select on the reference number to view or print product rating certificate

Payne

  1. Visit Payne's rating website
  2. In the drop down menu, select model family, actual model and Search
  3. Match up the outdoor and indoor unit to obtain AHRI number

DuroGuard

  1. Visit DuroGuard's AHRI website
  2. Select/view matching DuroGuard matching system

Goodman

  1. Visit Goodman's Residential products website
  2. Select a unit type, and select a SEER
  3. Select Product Specifications to open a PDF file
  4. In the AHRI ratings section, match up the outdoor and indoor unit to obtain AHRI number

AHRI (Air Conditioner, Heating & Refrigeration Institute)

  1. Visit AHRI Certification Directory website
  2. Under Residential, select either Air Conditioner and Air Conditioner Coils or Heat Pumps and Heat Pump Coils
  3. In the AHRI Certified Reference Number field, enter AHRI number and Search
  4. In the search results window, select the certificate number to view and print product rating certificate
