Great Assist Award
HD Supply received the “Great Assist Award” from City View Elementary School and the Harlem Globetrotters. Over the past school year, HD Supply has supported students and staff at City Elementary School again and again through donations and their time. HD Supply chose City View as the focus for their “We Care for Schools” event, where 300 HD Supply leaders worked with their teams in an interactive and engaging service project for City View.
HD Supply Move for Hunger
HD Supply partnered with Move for Hunger to put together an associate led truck pull. Move For Hunger is a national non-profit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need.
Read Across America
In celebration of Read Across America Week, our HD Supply associates spent their morning reading to students at City View Elementary School. The goal of Read Across America is to promote literacy and a love of reading among children and to encourage them to explore the world of books and reading.
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Wheelchair Donation
HD Supply leaders came together to build and donate wheelchairs to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The wheelchairs will be used to benefit the children and families of CHOA. HD Supply is excited to partner with CHOA as we continue to help make sure all children have access to the specialized care they need.
St. Jude’s Walk to Cure Childhood Cancer
HD Supply supports St. Jude’s Walk to Cure Childhood Cancer.

What’s your motivation in volunteering for community service?
My motivation for volunteering is knowing I’m giving back to others. It’s like a shot of endorphins. My spirits are lifted, and I feel that’s I’ve accomplished something good! Whether it’s for children, animals, senior citizens, or other HD Supply Associates.
Michael Deese
What’s your motivation in volunteering for community service?
I live by the phrase "to whom much is given, much will be required." Giving back to my community and volunteering is a way that I can help fulfill this to help others. Also, the feeling that you get after you help people is one of the greatest highs that you can achieve.

What’s your motivation in volunteering for community service?
Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose larger than what I contribute toward in my day to day living with work and home life – it is a life balance that brings enrichment to others beyond self.

What’s your motivation in volunteering for community service?
Shirley Chisolm said it best, “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on earth.” There is a sense of fulfillment when you can leave something a little better than it was! I have always been of the mindset that we are blessed to be a blessing and it’s the least we can do for others!

The HD Supply Giving Fund unites our organization around our Core Values and supports causes that benefit our communities through four key pillars:

The Giving Fund allows us to effectively demonstrate our commitment to community and social responsibility. The fund supports charitable causes and initiatives, and through it we build goodwill and confirm we are a true corporate citizen.

For Our Associates
At HD Supply, we take care of each other when we need it most.
HD Supply’s Helping Hand Fund is an associate-funded program that provides emergency, financial assistance to associates and their dependents who may be experiencing financial difficulties due to uncontrollable events such as natural disasters, fire, injury, illness, medical crises and/or death.
