USA BlueBook Celebrates 25 Years

USABlueBook Celebrates 25 Years

In 2016, USABlueBook, a business of HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, celebrated its 25th anniversary. On May 8, 1991, Utility Supply of America was incorporated by a water and wastewater utility operator to serve the MRO needs of municipalities. USABlueBook became part of the HD Supply family in 2005.

Its first catalog, a 250-page "BlueBook" of Utility System Supplies with over 6,000 items, was a generous offering for the new company. In 2016, its "Master Catalog" has grown nearly 1,800 pages with a product offering of more than 64,000 items.

HD Supply Holdings, Inc. goes public on June 27, 2013, on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol HDS at an initial offering price of $18 per share.

2012

HD Supply Facilities Maintenance acquires Peachtree Business Products, enhancing customers' access to customized business and property marketing supplies.

2011

HD Supply Facilities Maintenance launches a mobile website, offering customers access to pricing, saved lists, product availability, and online order history via smartphones. Learn more

The Home Depot Supply and Hughes Supply combine to form HD Supply, enhancing the company's ability to meet customers' goals.

Renovation sales coordinators begin to help customers manage large renovation projects.

Acquisition of N–E Thing Supply Company broadens product offerings, service, and sales coverage to customers throughout Texas and surrounding areas.

Maintenance Warehouse's new website makes ordering easy for customers.

The Home Depot purchases Maintenance Warehouse. With its dedicated delivery trucks and new services, the new Maintenance Warehouse is able to leverage The Home Depot's considerable buying power and pass the savings on to customers.

As part of its commitment to customer service, Maintenance Warehouse builds an industry-first customer advocate team. This team focuses on customer questions and concerns, and lays the foundation for HD Supply Facilities Maintenance's current award-winning Voice of the Customer program.

A Spanish-speaking call center opens and begins providing multilingual assistance to customers.

1994

Maintenance Warehouse launches an industry-first plumbing repair parts guide, which features product views and how-to articles, helping customers succeed in their maintenance projects.

Creation of a centralized call center makes it easier for customers to reach associates who can help with purchases of any size.
