Selecting Chandeliers & Pendant Lights For Your Property

Size

A light fixture should be proportional to the height and width of the room. A fixture that is too small for its space will not provide enough light for the room. To determine the right size chandelier or pendant light, add the room's dimensions together. For example, if the room is 10' x 14', add the 10 and 14, and your light fixture should be no more than 24" in diameter. Always choose a larger light fixture if you're unsure of the room dimensions.

Finish

A finish that complements existing cabinet and door hardware, wall color, and other elements in the room works best. Every décor is different so we offer chandeliers and pendant lights in a variety of finishes including brushed nickel, polished brass, oil rubbed bronze, and more to coordinate with your property's look.

Mounting Height

Chandeliers should hang at least seven feet from the floor. If the ceiling is more than eight feet high, increase chandelier height 3" for every additional foot of ceiling height. Pendant lights should be suspended 60 to 66" above the floor or about 30" above a table, sink, countertop, desk, or vanity.
