Electric Water Heaters

Residential Electric Tank Water Heaters

The A.O. Smith ProMax® residential electric water heater is a great choice for reliable hot water output. Each ProMax® electric water heater comes standard with the DynaClean™ diffuser dip tube — featuring water jets that redirect incoming cold water into the tank, creating turbulence, which helps reduce lime build-up. A heavy-duty brass drain valve is standard on all A.O. Smith electric water heater models. Also, the Coregard™ anode helps protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water, and has a standard 6-year limited warranty.

Residential electric water heaters are common in commercial properties.

HD supply offers electric water heaters in two configurations:

  1. Lowboy for tight installation
  2. Tall for locations where there is more space

All electric water heaters have top water connections, however, the location of the Temperature & Pressure (T&P) Relief valve varies by model. Lowboy configurations have top T&P valves. Tall configurations have side T&P valves. If you need a different configuration contact our Special Orders department — we will find the model you need.

Gas Water Heaters

Residential Gas Tank Water Heaters

The A.O. Smith ProMax® residential gas water heater is a great choice for reliable hot water output. Each ProMax® electric water heater comes standard with the DynaClean™ diffuser dip tube featuring water jets that redirect incoming cold water into the tank, creating turbulence, which helps reduce lime build-up. A heavy-duty brass drain valve is standard on all A.O. Smith gas water heater models.

Self-powered electronic gas valves use a thermopile to generate the power needed to operate the on-board electronics without requiring an external power source. You get built-in diagnostics, using an LED status indicator that monitors system operation and service diagnostics. Also, the Coregard™ anode helps protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water, and has a 6-year limited warranty.

HD Supply offers gas water heaters in two configurations:

  1. Short for tight installation
  2. Tall for locations where there is more height available

All gas water heaters have top water connections, however, the location of the Temperature & Pressure (T&P) Relief valve is on the unit side. If you need a different configuration contact our Special Orders department. We can find the model you need.

Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless Water Heater

Tankless water heaters provide endless hot water in one of the most energy-efficient ways possible. The water heats as it passes through the unit. Indoor and outdoor designs take up less space and allow for additional storage and flexibility. HD Supply offers electric and gas heating options.

Point-Of-Use Water Heaters

Point-of-use water heaters boost your main hot water supply by providing hot water right where you need it, saving water and energy. The amount of hot water that comes from a point-of-use water heater depends on the size of the unit and the temperature settings. Smaller units are often installed under a sink or on a wall; larger models can be hidden away in a closet or cabinet close to the faucet. Point-of-use water heaters are usually a great option for offices, hospitals, restaurants, and hotels. HD Supply offers electric and gas point-of-use water heaters as well as water heater repair parts you need.

Tankless Water Heater

Choosing a Point-of-Use Water Heater

To select the right point-of-use hot water heater consider:

  1. Need — How much hot water is needed and how will the point-of-use water heater be used? Will it replace or supplement a central hot water system? This can help you decide the size and whether you need a single or multiple point-of-use water heaters.
  2. Location — Where you install the water heater and the available power supply will decide the type of unit.
